Charles Marriott and David Prebble proudly displaying the trophy they won at the Weybridge quiz night last year. With the quiz night fast approaching again, it’s scheduled for March 18, we thought it a good idea to remind brothers of the great achievement of that night by their team.
The Balham/Purley team consisted of Bill Higgins (Purley), David Prebble (Joint) and Charles Marriott (Balham). They will be defending the title next month and will be disappointed if they don’t return with the cup for another year!
Balham Circle has decided to inaugurate a second annual ladies night to be held in May. Because of the May bank holiday, ladies night will be Monday, May 19. All brothers are encouraged to come along and bring wives and girlfriends.

On Wednesday, January 22 the Balham Circle held its annual Ladies and Clergy night at the Bellevue Rendezvous restaurant in Trinity Road.
The traditional Balham beer and curry night was held on December 15 at the Mirch Masala restaurant in Tooting High Street.

Sadly the Balham Circle team did not retain the plate at the Kingston Catenians Circle darts evening on Monday, December 2, but the great compensation was that Steve Palmer achieved the highest score of the evening, an impressive 102!
