Intrepid walkers Steve, John, Noel, Marianne, Charles, Peggy & Stella (the dogs) plus Tristan in Guildford at the the beginning of stage two of the President’s Pilgrimage to Canterbury covering the 12 miles to Westhumble.
This proved to be a lovely – if sometimes gruelling – walk through beautiful country. It was only marred by the lack of a pub en route, but the ‘Stepping Stones’ in Westhumble provided the necessary celebratory drink to mark the end of the walk.
