On Monday,March 23, Balham Brothers were delighted to enrol John Neligan as a Brother of the Circle. Two visiting brothers, Roderick O’Connor and Kevin Mallett, from Sutton, Mid-Surrey Circle also attended our Circle Meeting and joined us for dinner.

John, who is a parishioner of St Thomas a Becket Church in Wandsworth, is pictured here with President Terry and Membership Officer Charles. President Terry warmly welcomed John and, as is the tradition, presented him with a Balham Circle tie.

The Circle Meeting was followed by a most convivial dinner in the informal style that Balham Brothers have grown accustomed to and which it seems is also appreciated by our visitors. With a small group, it’s possible to sit around a single table and everyone can share the lively conversation and jokes, old and new!! TGB

That’s Gayle. I would just like to say that I found Bro President’s joke the highlight of the evening. Will you stay on for another two years, Terry?

Now then, Brother VP, what is it you’re after this time? Or has your irony just reached new heights? Regarding the waitress, she is not only attractive but also charming. We had really good service from the Windmill staff and should tell them so!
