On Monday January 15, Balham Brothers celebrated their Circle’s 100th meeting at the Kairos Centre in Roehampton in the presence of Bishop Paul Hendricks.
On October 30 Balham Circle visited the Clink at HMP Brixton. All agreed that the lunch we had there provided a most enjoyable occasion and the food could only be described as superb.

Balham Circle hosted a very successful Clergy and Ladies’ night on 2nd February. A good number of local clergy attended representing some of the major parishes in the Balham Circle’s catchment.
Balham Circle Ladies Night was a well attended event and, in addition to Balham brothers and their wives, the Circle warmly welcomed Grand President, Peter Woodford and his wife Ann, Provincial President Kevin Rourke and his wife Jacqui and Provincial Director, David Arundale and his wife Maureen. The full complement of guests was completed by Fr Davis from St Thomas Beckett Church.
During dinner at our circle meeting on 19th May, a raffle was held for the benefit of Patrick Macheira. This was our Ladies’ night (see News May 19, 2014) and there were a number of visitors. Some brothers kindly donated some excellent bottles and a total of £130 was raised which is enough money to keep this young man going for 3 months.
