It was a good evening for all, though Mathew abandoned the Balham brothers to join his fellow treasurers. Quite right too! Pictured here is the ‘Balham brigade’ looking suitably replete at the end of the evening. TGB

New “Join-Me” visits to Leighton House and the Magic Circle

There has been a short break since my last “Join Me” visit and so I’m now proposing two new visits, which have been selected from my list. The first one is to Leighton House in Kensington. I’m proposing that this visit take place on Friday December 5. The second visit Will be to the Magic circle in January. The Magic Circle visit has to be booked in advance and I’m suggesting two options for consideration. The first is a morning visit with the general tour of the Magic Circle Museum and the second is an evening event of magic and mystery.

For more information on both visits go here.

Group2‘Once more unto the breech’ headed an intrepid band of Catenian brothers from Balham and Croydon Circles and friends on August 13 into the lofty portals of the Olympia Exhibition Centre in Kensington, to share good fellowship, witty repartee (at its best earlier in the evening) and to sample some (many?) of the fine English, Welsh and Scottish bitters and ales proffered at the Great British Beer Festival.
