
We have missed some of the Balham pilgrimage stages (have no fear we will return to them!), but we can report that, on Saturday January 28, Balham President, Steve Palmer, supported by six other pilgrims and two dogs, continued his steady progress along the Pilgrims route to Canterbury. Continue reading January 28 sees the pilgrims off again!



Balham Brothers were delighted to welcome seven visiting brothers to their circle meeting on July 25th. Sadly, President Steve could not attend and past president Terry stood in. It was a very enjoyable evening with lots of buzz!
Balham Circle’s President’s Sunday was held on July 10, vying for importance in the social calendar only with some tennis match or other at Wimbledon.


Intrepid walkers Steve, John, Noel, Marianne, Charles, Peggy & Stella (the dogs) plus Tristan in Guildford at the the beginning of stage two of the President’s Pilgrimage to Canterbury covering the 12 miles to Westhumble.

A happy band of Balham and Croydon Brothers and Wives enjoyed an entertaining visit to the BBC Headquarters in Portland Place on Friday Aril 1. Certainly not April fools, we were lucky enough to catch one of the last tours for the time being and we were given an interesting insight into “Aunty’s” culture and workings.
